The Australian Specialty Coffee Association would like to thank the incredible team of judges, volunteers, and sponsors who make the Australian coffee competition scene possible.

ASCA continues to be run 100% by volunteers, who put in their amazing time and energy to keep the Australian coffee competition scene alive. This keeps entry fees affordable, and ensures that all of our funds go back to members in initiatives to encourage more members to take part in competitions. These initiatives include our scholarship program, where any member who doesn’t have a local state competition, can apply to have their airfare covered to either compete or judge in a neighbouring regional competition. Another initiative is the scholarship available to regional winners to cover their costs of travel to nationals.

As other countries have dropped their regional competitions, Australia is unique in offering such a strong local scene. Once again, it’s all thanks to our amazing volunteers!

We will now kick off planning our 2018 competition year, and invite any ASCA member to step forward and join us in keeping the Australian competition scene one of the strongest in the world. Email info@aasca.com if you want to get involved – positions include joining up your local barista and roasters guild, helping out at the regional competition, or providing general social media and communications support.

A special thank you as well to our incredible sponsors, whose support is invaluable in allowing us to offer such a strong competition.
