Congratulations to Takumi Sakamoto, who has won the title of 2019 AMC Australian Roasting Champion.
Takumi, representing Deluca Coffee, battled it out against six other roasters last week at Criteria Coffee in Port Melbourne.
Pat Connolly from Genovese Coffee and Daniel Shadbolt from Veneziano Coffee Roasters came second and third, respectively.
The winner announcement was made at an ASCA Roasters Guild event at Starward Distillery on Friday 31 May. David Worth, from Title Sponsor AMC, was on hand to present the trophy to Takumi.
Takumi will now represent Australia at the World Coffee Roasting Championship, being held at the Taiwan International Coffee Show in November.
